Susanne Cannella
Susanne Cannella is a Registered S2C Practitioner, and alongside spellers co-founded CrimsonRise. Sue provides individual sessions and group opportunities to spellers to learn and use Spelling to Communicate. She also provides coaching to parents and related service providers, and mentors practitioners-in-training with the International Association for Spelling as Communication.
Susanne is the Alliance Director, she is responsible for program development at CrimsonRise. She creates partnerships and alliances with related service providers and agencies to create a community for nonspeaking autistic people to thrive in. Susanne is a licensed NYS Special teacher who is listed as a certified SETSS provider for the NYC area.
Susanne values diversity and believes that with the right support the possibilities of achieving your goals are endless. She seeks to promote awareness and advocacy for the clients she works with in hopes of altering the misconceptions about autism. She believes in the process of learning because the world never stops teaching.
Susanne has been honored for her professional achievement in Frontline Leadership and has been awarded with a certification in teacher appreciation and dedication of services for commitment and support through Volunteers of America Early Learning Center SI, NY. She holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology from Kean University Union, NJ.
In her free time, Susanne enjoys doing DIY crafty projects and has a passion for fashion. She loves art, music, comedy, museums, shopping and baking–plus consuming everything she has baked in order to feed her sweet tooth appetite! She also likes reading, movies, traveling and going for long meditative walks to get “lost” in the woods of Pennsylvania where she lives with her family.
